Our January meeting at The Elizabethan Lodge was not only an official visit, welcoming many notable Freemasons including the APGM, but also a celebration of Burns Night.
Our Junior Warden, who has a wonderfully theatrical flair, performed the traditional Piping of the Haggis and delivered the Ode to a Haggis—a highlight of the evening.
As with all our meetings, a fantastic sum was raised for local charities. Did you know that Freemasonry is the second largest charitable giver in the UK, after the National Lottery?
